Tudor Adds Opal Dial to Black Bay GMT Watch
We have a 'Polar' sports high quality watches replica from Tudor - it looks icy.
At Watches & Wonders, Tudor unveiled a new opal dial for its Black Bay GMT. It's the same Black Bay GMT we know (and love) - 41mm steel case, 'Pepsi' bezel, factory movement, just with a new off-white 'Polar' dial.
Tudor fashion watches wholesale calls the new dial “opaline,” telling us it’s not quite white, but has been treated with an electroplating process that gives it a matte white-gray finish. It gives hints of silver to the dial.
The markers have a contrasting surround that looks dark gray to match the seconds hand. Inside is Tudor's familiar manufacture caliber MT5652. Like the existing black-dial Black Bay GMT, the new cream-dial version will come with a stainless steel bracelet or one of Tudor’s jacquard straps.
No, it's not a new Top luxury replica watch, but I'm excited to see a "polar" dial in a Tudor sports watch. Remember that Albino Rolex GMT-Master that Ben wore in Hodinkee's office in 2015? It felt like a wink at that history. The matte dial even looks a bit retro. The modern "Pepsi" bezel GMT has only been with us since 2018 when Rolex and Tudor launched their new GMT models, so the polar dial is an exciting evolution of the look.
Tudor says the dial is off-white, thanks to a galvanic treatment that gives it a silver tone. We were excited to get our hands on it – Tudor and Rolex are known for black dials on their sports cheap watches for sale, so it’s nice to see them try something different. Looking forward to a hands-on review of this soon. For more on Black Bay GMT, revisit the time James wore it on his wrist for a week when it was released in 2018.
