The Banker's Crime

I want my letter signed by you

Before I fix mine on your dotted line

A toast to those of you untrue

Here's to Prison-time for the Banker's crime

Everyone else, you may wanna get

It's simple protection, it's fair and legit

Why do it?, Why do it?, Here's why I'd do it

If this shit happens too often, why risk it?

What else will you have, the day that you find

One of them suits went on to dupe you

Do you know some chaps have a pen and rubber

That erases written ink, right out of view

What else will you have the day that you find

'Copies' of letters you wouldn't have signed

So careful my friend, or one day you will find

The Vultures will wait when you don't have the time

I want my letter signed by you

Before I fix mine on your dotted line

A toast to those of you untrue

Here's to Prison-time for the Banker's crime

I wrote this now cos I see, I see I was

Handed over to a rakish swine

Surely they let him step out of line

The first time they saw him turn water to wine

I wrote this now cos I see, I see I was

Handed over to a rakish swine

Clearly they cheered, as he stepped out of line

The SECOND time he turned water to wine.

I want my letter signed by you

Before I fix mine on your dotted line

A toast to those of you untrue

Here's to Prison-time for the Banker's crime
